Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These Terms govern the rights and obligations between Meiyantong ("the Company") and users of its Korea partner-hospital medical tourism reservation intermediary service.

2. Nature of the Service

The Company operates a reservation intermediary platform; the actual medical treatment is provided by partner hospitals. Liability arising from medical treatment itself rests with the hospital that provided it.

3. Eligibility

This service is available only to foreign nationals who are not enrolled in (or dependents under) Korea’s National Health Insurance and who do not reside in Korea (Medical Service Act, Article 27(3)).

At sign-up, users must truthfully self-declare their nationality, country of residence, and non-enrollment in Korea’s National Health Insurance; users bear responsibility for any consequences of false declarations.

4. Deposit and Refunds

① Users must pay the deposit specified for each service at the time of reservation; the next step (submitting photos and preferred dates) proceeds only after the deposit payment is completed.

② If cancelled before the hospital responds with a quote (i.e., before photos and preferred dates are submitted), the deposit is refunded in full.

③ If cancelled by the user after the hospital has responded with a quote and available dates, all or part of the deposit may not be refunded. Specific refund rates by stage are set out on the relevant service page or in separate notices.

④ Treatment costs are not refundable once treatment has been provided. Any dispute regarding the outcome of treatment must be raised with the hospital that provided it.

⑤ Users must review hospital information, service details and delivery method, and the deposit/refund terms before payment; completing the deposit payment constitutes agreement to the refund terms set out in this article.

5. User Obligations

Users must keep the information they provide accurate, must not misuse another person’s account, must not use the service for purposes other than intended, and must comply with applicable laws.

6. Intellectual Property

Rights to content within the service belong to the Company or its rightful owners; unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Company is not liable for the medical treatment itself provided by partner hospitals and is liable only within the scope of its role as reservation intermediary. The Company is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure.

8. Changes to These Terms

The Company may revise these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect as soon as they are posted on our website. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and disputes relating to the service shall be brought before the courts of Taiwan.
